Abstract
595,892. Uniting by fusion. SARAZIN, R. July 20,1945, No. 18689. Convention date, Aug. 6, 1943. [Class 83 (iv)] In an arc welding electrode of the kind having a central core and outer sheath separated by one or more spacers which conduct current thereto and also leave a space for a flux coating between the core and sheath, the core is constituted by a number of wires which may be simply juxtaposed or may be twisted or stranded. The flux penetrates the interstices between the undivided wires of the core. The core may consist of a number of wires 4 round which is wound the spacing wire 3 over which is wound the sheath 1 to contain the flux 2. Specification 420,474 is referred to.
