Abstract

167,063. Boorne, W. H. June 30, 1920. Uniting and dividing by fusion. -An electrode for arc welding, metal cutting or like purposes comprises a metal core which is first covered with a complete layer of flux, then wound with a cord or the like of insulating material, additional flux being finally pressed between the windings. The electrode shown has two cords b, c of the same or different materials wound helically in opposite directions. Specification 10982/85, [Class 109, Ropes &c.], is referred to.
