299,163. Turner, B., and Ferro-Arc Welding Co., Ltd. Sept. 24, 1927. Uniting by fusion. - A twinelectrode for welding and depositing metal by the electric arc process in which one phase of a three-phase alternating current is connected to the work and the other two to the electrode, is formed by first coating one or both of the individual core wires 1, 2 with a film 3 of an adhesive solution of a highly electricallyinsulating nature such as silicate of soda, particularly in the form known as adhesive silicate, or a solution of shellac in methylated spirit, and then applying round the composite core a coating 4 of flux or slagforming material.
