Uniting by fusion.-A twin-electrode for use with a three-phase alternating current for welding or depositing metal by the electric arc process consistsof two rods or wires A bound together by a string of asbestos yarn B wound round and between the rods or wires. The yarn, which, as shown, may take a figure of eight path, may be composed of blue or white arbestos or amosite, and may have added thereto fluxes such as lime, china clay, silicate of soda or sodium carbonate.
