Abstract

595,801. Cartridge magazines. BREVETS AERO-MECANIQUES SOC. ANON. June 5, 1945, No. 14145. Convention date, June 22, 1944. [Class 92 (ii)] Cartridges 15 arranged in at least two rows in a substantially straight magazine 10 are propelled towards the firearm 16 by a sliding carriage 11, the latter being actuated by a flexible pulling member 12 which passes between the rows and which is connected to a driving device, preferably extraneous to the firearm. The cable 12 shown, passes over a pulley 27 and is actuated by a pneumatic motor, which may have means, such as a pawl, for preventing accidental reversal. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a drum magazine having a spiral path around which the cartridges are urged by an arm driven by a pneumatic motor eccentrically disposed within the magazine. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
