Abstract

554,306. Cartridge-feeding mechanism. ROE &CO., Ltd., A. V., and REDRUP, C. B. Dec. 7, 1942, No. 15721. [Class 92 (ii)] The endless chain b for feeding the cartridges a is propelled in part by a reciprocating member h actuated by the gun and in part by a motor k which operates when the gun trigger is pulled. As shown an electric motor k drives the sprocket e through reducing gear m ..... t, spindle u, and drum v within which one end of a spiral spring w is secured. The other end of the spring is engaged by a hook y secured to the sleeve z carrying the sprocket e. This connection permits the motor drive to be over-run by the gun actuation. The chain b is provided with rollers g at the pivots for running over the track f.
