Abstract
594,177. Mechanical switches without quick action. ARROW ELECTRIC SWITCHES, Ltd. June 27, 1945, No. 16371. Convention date, July 7, 1944. [Class 38(v)] In a rotary selector switch, sets of contacts 22 having terminal bars 20, are mounted in recesses in stacked insulating body discs B, C, D, each set being engageable by a blade-contact 24 carried in a recess on the upper face of an insulating rotor disc 34, and electrically connected by a rivet to a resilient bowed annular contact 50 on the under face of the disc 34. The discs 34 are slidably carried on a square-section spindle 30, and each engages the underside (Fig. 2) of the adjacent bodydisc so as to urge the contact 50 on to a fixed collector-ring 60, which has a terminal bar 62 seated in a recess similar to those of the fixed contacts 22. Radial displacement of the contacts 22 is prevented by lugs 26 which co-operate with wells 28 in the recesses in discs B, C, D.
