[Class 38 (v)] In a rotary switch comprising individual contacts 11 and a common contact 16 arranged on an insulating disc 10, the common contact 16 has integral projections 17 extending between, and slightly higher than, the contacts 11 to prevent a bridging contact 21 on a rotor disc 20 from falling into the space between, and shorting, adjacent contacts 11. The contact 21 comprises a pair of rounded contact surfaces 22, joined by a flat portion and having upwardlyprojecting flanges 24 engaging the rotor, and a pair of leaf-springs 25 to maintain it in contact with the stator contacts. U.S.A. Specification 2,186,638 is referred to.
