Abstract
593,046. Scraping-apparatus. RUSTON-BUCYRUS, Ltd. April 17, 1945, No. 9583. Convention date, April 3, 1944. [Class 68 (i)] Means for attaching a blade to the U-frame 11 of a bulldozer or angledozer comprises a pair of plates 20, 21 forming on the back of the blade two opposed arcuate recesses 22, and an attaching member 23 with a flat plate 24 which can be entered into, or removed from, the recess 22 when in one position, but which may freely swivel therein. The attaching member 23 has rearwardly projecting lugs 26 with holes registering with a vertical hole in the U-frame 11 to receive a pin 27. A guard is provided beneath this pin. The blade 12 is adjusted about the vertical pin 27 by means of channel braces 16 whilst adjustment about the horizontal longitudinal axis of the U-frame is effected by adjustment of the braces 16 with respect to arcuate rails 19.
