Abstract

865,840. Digger teeth for earth-excavating apparatus. TOOTH CO., H. & L. June 11, 1959 [Dec. 8, 1958], No. 20102/59. Class 68(1). A wear plate E is secured to the body B of a digger tooth by one or more pins passing through partially aligned openings in the body and in one or more spigots 80 on the underside of the wear plate. The or each spigot 80 enters an appropriately positioned bore 86 formed in the surface 60 of the body engaging the wear plate. Each pin is split longitudinally, the half portions of the pin being bonded to opposed sides of a rubber block. U.S.A. Specification 2,762,139 is referred to.
