Abstract

846,248. Earth-working apparatus. ELECTRIC STEEL FOUNDRY CO. Feb. 25, 1959, No. 6611/59. Class 68(1). In a digger tooth assembly for an earth-working machine there is secured to the upper surface of a tooth-point - carrying body 1) immediately to the rear of the tooth-point 12 when it is secured to the body a wear-resistant cap 13. A tongue 25 on the body 11 and a groove 26 in the underside of the cap 13 allow of the securing of the two together. The cap projects rearwards at 31 beyond the abutting surfaces 30 of the cap and the body, whilst the front end 24 of the cap is chamfered.
