Abstract

807,058. Vehicle draw-gear. ALLISCHALMERS MANUFACTURING CO. May 15, 1957, No. 15408/57. Class 103(5). A removable draw-bar 6 is provided with an eye 10 for engagement with the tractor hook 11 and with a joggled bracket 8 for overlapping engagement with the arcuate plate 1 carried by arms 2 pivoted at 3 to the tractor thus forming a rigid towbar the angular position of which may be altered by engagement of the U- shaped bolt 7 in alternative pairs of holes 5. When it is desired to change to a mounted implement the pins 23, which prevent angular movement of the arms 2 about the axis 3, are withdrawn and the draw-tear 6 released from the hook 11 and removed. The arcuate plate 1 remains attached to the tractor but in an out-of-theway position when the pins 23 are inserted in further holes in the bracket 4.
