Abstract

593,044. Fencing. DAY, S. G. April 10, 1945, No. 8899. [Class 45] A fencing post is fitted with laterally extending brackets to which the rails can be bolted. The brackets, which are in right-hand sets, have a horizontal portion 8b from a side edge of which extends an upward flange 8a and from an end edge a downward flange 8c. The flange 8a is perforated at 8e to receive a nail, &c. for fixing the rail which is laid on the horizontal 8b. The flange 8c has two holes 8d whereby the bracket can be bolted to the upright post. A plurality of bolt-holes are provided in the post so that the height at which the bracket is fixed can be varied.
