Abstract
Designs are formed on sheet material made of rubber, rubber substitute or the like, from which articles are to be moulded, by applying a coloured rubber composition through silk screen stencils, coating the designs with a thin transparent layer of pure rubber, and subjecting the material to semi-vulcanization. The composition may comprise rubber, zinc oxide, lithopone, whiting and sulphur, in stated proportions, colour, an accelerator such as the material sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Robac," or gamma or tetra metyl thiuram disulphide, and a solvent comprising coal tar naphtha, material sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Cellosolve," and white spirit According to the Provisional Specification, the material may be already formed into an article, in which case the composition is such as to vulcanize at room temperature.
