Abstract

A moulding composition for gloves (see Division B2) comprises a high molecular weight polyvinyl chloride, a liquid butadiene/acrylonitrile copolymer, plasticizers, a stabilizer, and pigments. The composition is heat cured. Specification 957,217 is referred to.ALSO:A P.V.C. moulded article is made by applying to a former a coating of a mixture of P.V.C. and a synthetic rubber, which latter is a copolymer of butadiene with acrylonitrile or styrene, a polymer of chloroprene, or a silicone rubber, and placing the coated former in a drying oven whereby the applied P.V.C./synthetic rubber coating is cured. In the examples, gloves are made by passing a cotton fabric glove liner on a porcelain former through a falling curtain of a P.V.C./synthetic rubber composition (see Division C3). The article may also be made by dip or slush moulding. Specification 957,217 is referred to.
