590,799. Gas turbine plant for jet-propulsion. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. Jan. 12, 1945, No. 1066. Convention date, April 10, 1943. [Class 110 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXIII] The plant is a straight-through axial-flow arrangement comprising an annular convergent entry 26, an air-compressor 15, an annular diffusor 41, a combustion-chamber assembly 38 as described in Specification 592,505, a convergent annular chamber 39, a turbine 16 which drives the air compressor and an annular propulsion jet nozzle 14. The combined radial and thrust bearing 22 is supported by a structure as described in Specification 582,049.
