589,811. Thermometers. BILLMAN, S. K. M. Sept. 19, 1944, No. 17897. Convention date, Oct. 19, 1943. [Class 97 (iii)] In order to measure the temperature of a fluid passing through a conduit, an electrical annular measuring means having the same internal diameter as the conduit is employed. As shown, a body 2 having a flange 1 for securing the body 2 to the flange 3 of the conduit with the interposition of a packing 10, is provided internally with an annular member 5, 6 surrounded by heat-insulating material 9 and having its internal tubular part coincident with the conduit. Electrical measuring means such as a resistance 12 is housed between the walls 5, 6 of the member and a tube 11 is provided for the leads.
