Abstract

588,878. Garden frames. WARNOCK, J. H. March 8, 1945, No. 5818. [Class 20 (i)] The sashes b of a garden frame are retained in open or closed positions by notched bars e of, e.g., steel which are attached to the front and rear of each sash. Steel wires c fixed to the side of the frame at d engage in one of the notches e<3> in each of the bars and anchor them in position. The bars are attached to the sashes by means of a tongue e<1>, Fig. 3, engaging a slot in a bracket f screwed on to the side of the sash. A handle g having hooked ends g<1> which engage under the bracket f can be used for lifting the sashes. A stud and slot type of fastening can be used instead of the type shown.
