Abstract

830,274. Window frames. HOPE & SONS Ltd., H. Nov. 1, 1957 [Nov. 5, 1956], No. 33644/56. Class 20(3) The frame and sub-frame of a window are secured together by spring catches. The sub-frame a is formed with a rebate or shoulder locating the frame b, which has flanges c and d, in position. A slit is cut in the sub-frame so that a tongue lying in a plane parallel to that of the window frame is formed with the end g of the tongue bulged and shaped to wedgelike form to provide the catch. One or more catches may be provided on each member of the sub-frame. Abutment pieces k and m locate the flanges c and d relative to the sub-frame. The catch is integral with and fitted to either the window frame or sub-frame.
