Class 20(3) In a metal window frame provided with a rectangular frame for accommodating a hinged or pivoted window, and an incomplete frame for receiving fixed glazing, the free ends of the incomplete frame being secured to the rectangular frame, the incomplete frame is constructed from bars of T section having end portions shaped to form tongue pieces e which overlap and which are secured to parts of the side members of the rectangular frame so as to form lap joints therewith, the end portions also being shaped to form shoulders f, g, which abut closely against edge. portions of the rectangular frame. The T section bars of the incomplete frame may be thickened by a flange h and the bars of the rectangular frame may be of Z section.
