Abstract

588,479. Frequency modulation. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and STENNING, L. C. Feb. 21, 1945, No. 4376. [Class 40 (v)] A reflex circuit arrangement is used with a receiver for frequency modulated waves, the dual amplification being effected preferably in one or more of the I.F. stages. V1, V2 are two H.F. stages, preferably the 1. F. amplifier. stages, followed by a limiter V3 and frequency discriminator 12 of the phase-shift type. The discriminator output is fed back through a line 15 to the input side of I.F. stage V2, and after amplification therein is taken off over line 21. to the L.F. amplifier V5 and thence to the output terminals 20. Filters 18, 19 suppress H.F. (or I.F.) oscillations in the feed-back circuit 15 and the L.F. output line 21 respectively.
