Abstract

583,626. Frequency modulation. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Nov. 9, 1944, No. 22060. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1943. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (y)] The frequency modulated transmitters of a network have different mean carrier frequencies but overlapping frequency deviation ranges and are modulated co-phasally with the same signal. The carrier frequency separation is at least twice the highest transmitted modulation frequency and the receivers, which may be tuned to any one transmitter, are of the type described in Specification 8584/44 (as open to inspection under Sect. 91), in which a feedback circuit reduces the frequency deviation range and a narrow band I.F. amplifier is used. Specification 599,907, [Group XXXV], also is referred to.
