[Class 40 (vi)] In a frequency modulation receiver the input to the limiter 20, which is of the grid-leak bias type, is prevented from exceeding a predetermined value by means of a diode 18 connected across the anode circuit of the preceding amplifier and provided with a delay bias derived from the cathode resistance 10. The limiter 20 may alternatively comprise a further amplifying stage provided with a similar output limiting diode, Fig. 3 (not shown).
