Abstract

588,211. Cutting-machines. SWIFT, Ltd., B. & P., and LATHAM, H. F. Feb. 5, 1945, No. 2894. [Class 5 (i)] [Also in Group XXV] In a bowl cutting machine having a rotating annular trough shaped bowl 2 and rotating knives 7, the cover 6 over the knives carries a hinge pin 31 which rests in a bearing slot in the part 11 and is retained therein by the shank 13 of the comb 9. The comb is secured by a screw 25 within the cover. A switch 33 operable by a projection on the hinge pin breaks the motor circuit when the cover is raised. Specification 591,673 is referred to.
