Abstract

A chaff cutting drum for chaff cutting apparatus, especially for a field chaff cutter having cutters provided with mutual spacing around its circumference which co-operate with a stationary cutting edge (11), whereby the region between the cutting blades open towards the axis of rotation of the chaff cutting drum is wholly or partially closed by covers (5), which covers directly adjoin the cutting edge (7) of the cutting blades (2) and extend as an extension of the cutting edge (7) in a direction opposite the operative direction of rotation of the chaff cutting drum (1). <IMAGE>
