Abstract

588,183. Electric resonators. PATELHOLD PATENTVERWERTUNGS- & ELEKTRO-HOLDING AKT.-GES. Feb. 2, 1945, No. 2707. Convention date, Feb. 3, 1944. [Class 40 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] A tunable electric resonator comprises an outer cylinder a and inner cylinders f, g, the latter being capacitively coupled through fixed flanged sectors b, c which are surfaced with conducting material, and rotatable conducting but insulted vanes h, i which are electrostatically coupled to both the fixed sectors b, c. The rotary part is mounted in ball bearings k and on a pivot m carried by a flexible end plate e. Several sectors b, c and vanes A. i may be used. Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), or there may be a fixed sector b, c on each side of each of the vanes h, i, Fig. 5 (not shown). The vanes may be cirular and central or eccentric, or be otherwise shaped .to give a desired course to the tuning. The vanes and sectors may be quadrants or of other angular width.
