Abstract
817,330. Variable capacitors. N.S.F. NURNBERGER SCHRAUBENFABRIK UND ELEKTROWERK G.m.b.H. Nov. 9, 1955 [Aug. 27, 1955], No. 32000/55. Class 37. [Also in Groups XL (b) and XL (c)] The capacitors for tuning the quarter-wave resonant lines of a television tuner (see Group XL (c)) each comprise an electrode 19, 20 or electrodes 14 formed integrally with (Fig. 3, not shown), or mounted on (Fig. 2, not shown), the end of one of the flat central conductors 17, 18 or 12 of the lines, and co-operating with rotor plates mounted on a shaft 15. The shaft is rotated by a gear-wheel 28 co-operating with a worm 29 secured to an adjusting shaft. Tuning trimming is effected by adjusters 24, 25 and 26; and accurate adjustment of tuning characteristics is facilitated by radially slotting the rotor blades.
