Abstract

588,027. Cable and wire terminals. VISSER, E. R., and HASLAM, J. C. Jan. 26, 1945, No. 2113. [Class 38 (i)] A terminal connector for secondary batteries comprises an insulated lead a on each end of which is cast a ring b of corrosion-resisting antimonial lead having tapered holes c to correspond with the terminals and polarity markings f. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), two oppositely outwardly diverging holes are provided, whereby the ring may be applied either way up. The tapering surfaces may be identical or have equal average diameters. The rings may be insulated to avoid short-circuits, and have serrations to break off scale from the battery terminals.
