564,077. Accumulators. BRITANNIA BATTERIES, Ltd., BLOMFIELD, R. M., and BURT, F. E. April 28, 1943, No. 6721. [Classes 38 (i) and 53] In an alkaline accumulator or battery, a tight joint between the terminal post b and the cover f is effected by two washers c, g, one of which has a recess therein to receive a rubber packing ring d and also the valance e around the hole in the cover, whilst the other has a projecting part h which makes a good joint when the washers c, g are tightened up by a nut i. The recess and packing ring may be in the upper washer, Fig. 2 (not shown).
