Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent any displacement of the positive mixture and thereby obviate any defective sealing of a button-type battery, by placing a negative agent, an electrolyte-absorbing body, a positive mixture, and the like into a given cathode can, before covering the cathode can with an anode can in which an anode side electrolyte is poured, and tightening the opening between these cans to seal the battery. CONSTITUTION:A negative agent 2 is placed on the bottom of a cathode can 7, to which an annular gasket 4 is connected. An electrolyte-absorbing body 6 is placed on it, and a cathode side electrolyte is poured. A separator 3 is placed on the electrolyte-absorbing body 6 which is impregnated with the cathode side electrolyte, in such a manner that a peripheral part 3a of the separator 3 touches the annular gasket 4. Next. a positive mixture 1 is placed on the center of the separator 3, before an anode can 5 into which an anode side electrolyte is poured is placed over the positive mixture 1 so as to make the can 7 to be covered with the can 5. At the same time, the opening between the can 5 and thd can 7 is tightened by bending the can 5 inward. Through the means mentioned above, the displacement of the positive mixture 1 which might be caused during the time when the anode side electrolyte is poured, can be obviated.
