[Class 53] A sealed compartment or container c filled with electrolyte is arranged above the plates b, the compartment &c. being punctured to allow the electrolyte to cover the plates. A tube g, having apertures i, j at the positions shown, is sealed at the top when the compartment has been filled, the top and bottom of the tube being pierced when the cell is to be used.
