586,279. Fluid-pressure servomotorcontrol systems. JACK & HEINTZ, Inc. April 29, 1943, No. 6789. Convention date, April 16, 1942. [Class 135] The aircraft control device described in Specification 572,201 is modified by the provision of an airspun horizon gyro 51 controlling, through an air relay 55, the valve 61 of a hydraulic servomotor 64 for aileron operation. This servomotor is connected with the rudder servomotor 24 by pipes connected to cylinders having spring-balanced pistons 72, 74. The pressures in the pipes 20, 21 connected to the servomotor 24 are communicated through pipes 69, 68 respectively to the pistons 72, 74 so that the operation of the rudder is accompanied by corresponding operation of the servomotor 64 and thus of the ailerons 1 which automatically aid recovery of the aircraft from violent yaws or, in making turns, assist the rudder by giving the aircraft the correct angle of bank.
