[Class 38 (iv.)] In an automatic control system for aircraft in which a control signal resulting from the departure of the craft from a direction or altitude to be maintained is differentiated to obtain a derivative or derivatives which are combined with the signal to effect control of correcting means, a further control signal derived from additional control means, such as a manual control of pitch or bank, or an automatic altitude controller is added to the composite signal without passing through the differentiating means. The arrangements provided are the same as described in Specification 626,287. Specifications 612,804 and 626,285 also are referred to.
