Abstract
584,092. Lamp-holders. CROSSL AND A. G., and MANSELL, A. S. Dec. 7, 1944 No. 24504. [Class 38(i)], A tubular lamp-holder arranged for insertion by the lateral movement of the lamp, comprises a hollow body b to which is secured a fixed part a which has an insulating bridge g carrying contacts e for the lamp-pins f and a part h slidable in the body b. A spring i urges the part h to a position in which it retains and encloses the lamp end. The part h may be of semi-circular or U cross-section and hinged to the part a with a catch to lock it in position. In a further modification, the part h is rotatable around the part a. In another construction the halves of the part h are hinged together to the part a which contains only the contacts e. The parts a, h may also be of polygonal crosssection.
