[Class 100 (i)] [Also in Group XXX] In a conveyer system for feeding a continuous web or band of material comprising two conveyers in series, one moving beneath the other at an angle thereto, rotatable conveyer or guide units are disposed in single echelon formation at the delivery end of the upper conveyer whereby the web or band of material as it falls to the lower conveyer is automatically turned through the angle necessary for it to conform with the new direction of feed. In the embodiment shown, hot plastic rubber in web form falls from a mill 4 on to a conveyer 3 and is then fed by a conveyer 1 to a conveyer 6 from which it falls on to a conveyer 2. The conveyer 6 comprises endless belts 7 passing round pulleys 8, 9 and is preferably powerdriven. The belts 7 may be replaced by a skid plate and only the pulleys 8 employed. In a further modification the conveyer 6 comprises rollers of progressively decreasing length lying parallel with the roller 10 of the conveyer 1 and arranged so that their ends lie in echelon across the conveyer 2.
