Abstract
580,388. Electromagnetic relays. LANDIS & GYR SOC. ANON. July 6, 1944, No. 12951. Convention date, July 9, 1943. [Class 38 (v)] A frequency relay giving a uniform response over a frequency band notwithstanding small divergencies of the control frequency from the proper value, has two resonance reeds, 1, 11 which are tuned to unlike but only slightly different frequencies and are arranged side-by-side on a block 2. The free ends of the reeds carry pawls 3, 31 co-operating with ratchet wheels 4, 41 rigidly fixed together by a bush 5 connecting to the switching member. Alternatively, the reeds may be lightly coupled together to improve the band effect. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 refers also to an elastic coupling between the ratchet wheel. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
