580,308. Air-pumps. HARRIS & SHELDON, Ltd, and WOOTTON, E. H. June 29, 1944, No. 12365. [Class 8 (i)] In a foot-operated air-pump comprising an oscillating cylinder 1 and reciprocating piston 9 actuated by lever 5 raised automatically by a compression spring 11 the latter is housed within the hollow piston rod 8. The spring abuts the inlet end of the cylinder interior wherein it is provided with a guide spindle 13.
