[Class 61 (iii)] A wrench comprises an operating head 14 with a cavity 15 of non-circular shape and a circular hole 16 in the base of the cavity to receive a work-engaging member 21 having a projecting portion 17 which fits in the cavity 15 and has a threaded extension 18 passing through the hole 16 and secured in position by a clamping nut 19. The work-engaging member of a ratchet wrench may be similarly secured and the invention may be applied to a safety wrench, of the kind described in Specification 504,084.
