578,299. Calculating - apparatus. ELSTON, E. P., and SHAW, H. R. March 3, 1942, No. 2777. [Class 106 (i)] An instrument for the determination of angles between two intersecting planes or for utilization in range-finding or navigation, comprises a graduated base B, a semicircular graduated segment S<2> pivotally and rotatably mounted on the centre of the base and a pair of graduated plane members S, S<1>, pivotally mounted on the horizontal centre line of the base and adapted to be set angularly and independently relative to the segment S<2>. The segment S<2> is pivotally mounted on a turntable 20 and may be locked in adjusted position by a knob 26. The plane members S, S<1> are locked by knobs 17, 18.
