578,020. Bearings. CLEVELAND GRAPHITE BRONZE CO. May 5, 1943, No. 7128. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1942. [Class 12 (i) ] The surface layer of a composite bearing consists of an alloy having a tin content in excess of 75 per cent. electrodeposited on the intermediate layer. The tin may be as much as 98 per cent. of a tin-copper alloy, which has a thickness not greater than five thousandths of an inch. The intermediate layer consists of silver, copper, or a copper alloy, and the backing of steel.
