Abstract
576,617. Insulators ; cut-outs. NELANDER, N. E. Jan. 30, 1945, No. 2322. Convention date, Feb. 1, 1944. [Classes 36 and 38 (i)] [Also in Group XXIII] In a ceramic junction insulator combined with a fuse plug, the plug 5, Fig. 4, is mounted in a socket 4 introduced by a rod 16, Fig. 6, and engages contacts 2, 3, Fig. 1, in the insulator 1, contact 3 being a bayonet-catch ring engaging pins 10 on the socket. The brass socket has a gauge part 20 with a cylinder 22 with springs ears 24 engaging the plug, and bas a spring ring 29 and apertures 18 engaging the rod 16. This rod has a mounting 26 with a recessed groove 28 for the ring 29 and pins 19 for the apertures 18. The insulator ring 3 is secured by screws 12 and has widened parts 13 to receive the pins 10, holes 12<1> being provided to give access to the screws 12. An apertured lug 14 provides a connection for one conductor. The other conductor is secured to a strip 8 fastened to the contact 2 which has a spring plate 6.
