Abstract

271,288. Handley, G. B., and Parsons, Ltd., C. H. July 28, 1926. Holders.-A lamp-holder switch has a telescopic movable contact member in the form of thimbles d, e, pressed apart by a spring f and secured in a lateral hole in a sliding insulating block c clamped on a rod a between two operating members b, b. In the position shown the movable contact member bridges fixed contacts g, g but when moved over by depression of the projecting operating member b this contact is broken. One contact g is connected to a supply lead and the other to one of the plungers of the lamp-holder, which has a metal casing i containing the insulator h carrying the switch parts. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 24766/96 and 28704/96, [both in Class 38, Electricity, Regulating &c.].
