Abstract

576,326. Coal crushers. TAYLOR, E. Aug. 14, 1944, No. 15442..[Class 59] A coal crusher comprises a pair of parallel crushing rollers of different sizes the coal being crushed first between an abutment and the larger roller, then between the rollers and finally, between the rollers and spring influenced pivoted abutments. The rollers 1, 2 are mounted in the side members 13 of a frame and are driven from a shaft 8. The first crushing is effected between the larger roller 1 and an adjustable abutment 19, and the final crushing between the rollers and the pivoted abutments 20 which are mounted on a common cross rod 21 and are under the influence of springs 24 surrounding adjustable links 23.
