Abstract

576,038. Lubricating apparatus; air compressors. TECALEMIT, Ltd., and LE CLAIR C. C. S. Dec. 30, 1943, No. 21872. [Classes 8 (i), 102 (i) and 102 (ii)] A lubricating pump comprises a high-pressure cylinder 7 fed from a low-pressure cylinder 1 by means of a low-pressure piston 2 moved by compressed air which is produced by a manually operated compressor the cylinder 16 of which is attached to cr formed integrally with an end cover 15 closing one end of the lowpressure cylinder, the other end of which carries the high-pressure cylinder containing the high-pressure piston 9 which is operated by a lever 10. The piston rod 18 of the compressor projects through a cover 22 screwed on to the rear end of the cylinder 16 and carries an operating knob 23 which is screwed into a sleeve 25 slidably mounted on the outside of the cylinder 16 and which is forced rearwardly by a spring 24. The front of the cylinder 16 carries a screwed-on cover 26 formed with air outlet holes 27 controlled by a flexible non- return disc valve 28 which is protected by a perforated cover 31. When not in use, a depression 33 in the knob 23 is engaged by a projection 34 on a stirrup 32 pivoted to the end cover 15. The latter may also carry a relief valve.
