575,623. Two-part couplings ; conduits. O'BRIEN, J. F. Nov. 4, 1943, No. 18308. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1942. [Classes 36 and 38 (i)] In an electric wiring system having moulded units 10 enclosing conductors 17 that are exposed at the ends in the form of plugs 17a and sockets 17b for the purpose of connecting adjacent units, closure means are provided for covering the exposed ends at the end of a run. The plugs 17a protrude into a recess 16 and the closure member 30 fits into this recess and is formed with individual pockets for the plugs, a cover plate 34 serving to close the rear of the pockets and of the recess 16. A screw 10a secures the member 30 and fixes the unit to.the wall. At the other end of the unit, the sockets 17b that lie within a spigot 21 are covered by a plain cap 41 fitting over the spigot and secured by a fixing screw 10b.
