[Class 108 (iii)] An oleo - pneumatic telescopic shock-absorber has a hollow plunger 1 working in the liquid-containing chamber 10 and having in a reduced bore a differential piston 7 offering to the liquid which passes through the restricting and valve-controlled ports 4 in the plunger a smaller area than at its outer end 8 it offers to the gasfilled chamber 6 in the plunger. The piston separates the liquid from the gas which is introduced through a nozzle 9 to the required pressure.
