571,551. Illuminated globes. JENKINS, R. G. C. (Dupler, R. R.) April 12, 1944, No.6748. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] [Also in Group XV] A globe comprising two transparent or translucent hemispheres 19, 20 united by adhesive at their chamfered edges 25 is supported by four equally spaced adjustable arms 28 on a longitudinally slotted tube 17 which fits slidingly on a post 12 supporting a tubular electric lamp 13 and mounted in an inclined position on a lateral arm 11 on a base 10. The upper part of the tube 17 carries a headed shank 21 passing through the hemisphere 19 and fitted with a securing nut and washer. The arms 28 are threaded in a ring 27 on the tube 17 and carry wedge-shaped blocks 30 of transparent or translucent material shaped to bear against the globe surface.
