Abstract

537,151. Lamps combined with magnifying glasses. HORSTMANN, E. G. March 5, 1940. No. 4085. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iii)] [Also in Group XX] A magnifying glass, preferably a large rectangular bi-convex lens is mounted on a lamp shade in a position to enable the object illuminated to be viewed without direct light from the lamp reaching the observer. In the apparatus shown the magnifying glass 5 is bolted to channel elements 6 pivoted to a bracket 9 on a lamp shade 3. The elements may be clamped after angular adjustment by a knurled nut 10.
