Abstract

570,255. Switches for connecting terminals. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and WEBB, L. H. Aug. 6, 1943, No: 12707. [Class 38 (v)] A link 9 adapted to connect two terminals 12, 15 is held by a spring in the off (or on) position and has a hole 1 whereby it is anchored to the one terminal 15 and an open slot 2 for engaging the other terminal 12. In the form shown the link pivots about the terminal 15, and after being moved, against the action of a spring 16, into engagement with the terminal 12 is clamped in position there by a screw down head 13. In a modification, Figs. 5-9 (not shown) the link is anchored to the one terminal by an elongated hole and moves rectilinearly, the off and/or on positions being determined by a spring clip the ends of which are adapted to snap outwards into recesses in the sides of the link.
