[Class 37] A rectifier assembly of the type comprising a plurality of rectifier elements within a tubular body 2 having metal end caps 6, 8, connected to the elements, is provided with dissimilar end caps co-operating with the holding clips to prevent insertion into the associated circuit with wrong polarity. One end cap may be provided with an annular ring 16 formed in the metal cap 6 which fits into a slot 18 cut in the U-shaped spring clip 10, the other spring clip 12 being formed without a slot.
